Bina T. Dagar founded Ameya Consulting, LLC. in 2004. Bina is a consultant focused on the Re/Insurance market and an arbitrator/mediator focused on Commercial disputes.
Prior to her current venture, Bina worked for more than 35 years in the re/insurance industry with Munich Re, CIGNA (now ACE), SCOR Re and Everest Re. She has more than 15 years of international experience, conducting business in the reinsurance sector in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
Bina is a certified arbitrator with AIDA/ARIAS-U.S. and holds the designation of Member, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, U.K. Bina arbitrates and mediates commercial and reinsurance disputes and is a distinguished neutral on the panel the International Center for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR). She is also listed on the panel of the International Chamber of Commerce.
Bina served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Professional Insurance Women (APIW) in New York from 2008 to 2018 and chaired various committees. She is also an active participant in the Publications Committee with the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Run-off Companies (AIRROC). Bina has authored technical articles in insurance industry trade journals and has been a speaker at various industry events.
Born in India, Bina completed her high school in Guam, “where America’s day begins”. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Certificate in Reinsurance from the College of Insurance/St. John’s University.
